At PayRep, users have full control over their account and personal data. If you choose to delete your PayRep account, you can initiate the process directly from the PayRep mobile app.

How to Delete Your PayRep Account
You can request account deletion directly from the PayRep mobile app.
Steps to Delete Your Account
Step 1 — Open Settings
Log in to your PayRep account and navigate to:
Settings → Delete Account
Step 2 — Review Important Information
Before proceeding, PayRep will show important information regarding account deletion, including:
- Personal and shared account data linked to your account will be permanently deleted
- Certain transaction records may be retained to comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Access to PayRep services will be removed once deletion is completed
Step 3 — Bring Your Balance to Zero
To continue with account deletion:
- Your available account balance must be ₦0.00
- Any remaining funds must be transferred out before proceeding
If your balance is not zero, account deletion cannot continue.
Step 4 — Confirm Account Deletion
Once your balance reaches ₦0.00:
- Confirm your deletion request
- A deletion schedule will be created
- Your account will enter a temporary deletion countdown period
Step 5 — Deletion Waiting Period
After confirming deletion:
- Your account deletion request will remain pending for 24 hours
- You can cancel the deletion request anytime within this period by signing back into your account
If no cancellation occurs within the waiting period, your account deletion will be completed automatically.
How to Cancel Account Deletion
If you change your mind before deletion is completed:
- Open the PayRep mobile app
- Sign in to your account within the 24-hour countdown period
- Your deletion request will automatically be cancelled
Your account will remain active and accessible.
What Happens After Account Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will lose access to your PayRep account
- Your profile and personal account data will be removed from active systems
- Shared or connected account access associated with your account may be removed
- Some transaction and compliance-related records may still be retained where legally required

PayRep may retain limited information where required for:
- Fraud prevention
- Security investigations
- Regulatory compliance
- Financial record obligations
- Dispute resolution
Retained information is securely stored and processed according to applicable laws and PayRep policies.
